Our archive collection contains a wide selection of photographs, magazines, trophies, uniform and other assorted objects from King William’s College and The Buchan School’s history. We are continually adding to this collection and developing a digital archive.
If you have any items you would like to donate to our archive collection, or would like more information about the School’s history and former pupils, please get in touch.
The Barrovian Magazine is a key part of life at King William’s College and The Buchan School, celebrating the achievements of pupils and reporting on the year’s activities. If you would like to receive a hard copy of future Barrovians as they are published, please contact us.
We now produce a regular e-newsletter for alumni instead of an annual magazine. To subscribe to the newsletter, or if you have any news you would like to be included, please get in touch.

King William’s College was unique in having the only Army Cadet Force in Britain which saw active service during the First World War. At the request of the IOM Government, our pupils provided the Armed Guard for the prisoners-of-war, escorting them from ships to the internment camps. We think it is important to commemorate the enormous sacrifice made by members of our School community.
Please visit our Remembrance Facebook Page, which features photos, archives, letters, diaries and other memories from the First World War.
