The Buchan Nursery are delighted to announce the appointment of Gemma Gelling as the new Head of Nursery.
Gemma started at The Buchan Nursery in August 2022 in the ‘Sunflowers’ pre-school class and has a range of experience in different nursery settings, having obtained her Cache level 3 diploma qualification. She has recently returned to the Isle of Man with her husband and daughter after living in Dubai for the past 7 years.
Gemma has a clear vision for the future of the nursery and says: “I have gained excellent knowledge and experience after working in a fast pace school setting and an Eco nursery.
“Here at The Buchan Nursery, I want to promote a holistic learning environment for children by applying an Eco, natural process to promote self – development and esteem. I love using the outdoor space and resources we offer to allow the children to play freely and use their imagination.”
Gemma will be from succeeding from Caroline Kipps Reid, who is leaving The Buchan Nursery as she relocates back to South Africa her family.
Gemma adds: “I am excited to get started and am looking forward to helping you and your families progress, develop and excel during your time with us at the nursery.”
The Buchan Nursery provides childcare for children ages 2 to 4 years of age and is based in Castletown.
