Conducted by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in November 2024, the report highlights our outstanding academic achievements, pastoral care, and boarding experience.

  • Overall Standards Met: The School met all British Schools Overseas standards and Minimum Standards for Boarding.
  • Academic Achievement: Students achieve excellent results, with nearly half of IGCSE and GCSE entries graded A*-A/9-7 and an above-average IB score of 31.3 points.
  • Pastoral Care: Safeguarding measures are robust, with regular training and meticulous record-keeping.

The Buchan School is the best school on the Island; the teachers are kind and loving, the lessons are fun, you get a wide variety of education, and the school really takes my independent nature into consideration. The food is also amazing!

Everyone treats each other with respect and we are very welcoming! If I had to choose a school it would be so easy to answer, I would choose The Buchan School every time!
