Congratulations and good luck to Sienna Dunn (U5) who has been nominated by the North West Performance Centre to attend England U16 Hockey trials being held in Lilleshall and Warwick University in the coming weeks.
Three years ago, she was selected for the England Hockey Player Pathway, a programme dedicated to talented young players across the country. She joined the Manchester Performance Centre which involves her travelling away several times each month for training and competition days. In the summer of 2019 despite being the youngest in her age group she was selected to represent the Pennine Pumas (the North of England) at England Hockey’s national competition the Futures Cup. The high intensity tournament included players from across the country including representative sides from Scotland and Wales. Sienna received the news about the nomination when she travelled to Manchester in September for Performance Centre training for the first time since the national lockdown.
