Congratulations to our record breakers!
At Sports Day before half term, two intermediate records were broken.
Amira in Lower 5 took the Girls’ 200m record down to 27.63s (was 28.20s), while across in the Boys’ High Jump, Finlay, also in Lower 5, soared to a new mark of 1.73m (was 1.70m).
Amira also won the 100m, Long Jump, and was part of the victorious 4x100m team for Walters. Not to be outdone, Finlay came out top in the 100m, Triple Jump, and 4x100m for Dickson.
Finlay also recently achieved an England National Championships standard in the high jump while competing with IOM Athletics Youth Development team in the UK and has been invited by England Athletics to enter to compete in the U15 National Championships which will take place at The Alexander Stadium in Birmingham in July.
In the overall House competition, Dickson narrowly beat Walters, with Colbourne a valiant third.
A great day for KWC athletics, well done all!
